An improvised puppet show, dignitaries, old friends and new faces, music and a book discussion with sisters from Laos were just a few of the highlights of Sulak Sivaraksa’s 93rd birthday celebrations.

IYPB 2026
The International Young Bodhisattva Program (IYBP) 2026 welcomed 31 participants from 11 countries to Deer Park Institute in India.
The students came together for a shared journey of learning, reflection, friendship, and transformation. Through meditation, deep listening, the Four Noble Truths, social justice, gender and wellbeing, digital compassion, theatre, films, community dialogue, and site visits, each day invited participants to explore what it truly means to walk the path of a Bodhisattva in today’s world.
The IYBP program continues later this year in Taiwan and has launched a call for applications.

A reflection on “No Birth No Death”
A Workshop on Facing Death, Suicide Prevention, and Buddhist Counseling was the first in-person workshop for lay counselors and therapists. It was built on the foundation of IBCC’s inaugural online course:
The Bodhisattva Path of Care (BPOC): Compassion and Skillful Means in Buddhist Counseling
