Mainstreaming into Local Government
Bangladesh is hosting international CBA conference in every two years to present and scale up the CBA practices to the global audiences, practitioners and policy makers. Likewise, CBA conference will work as the vehicle to communicate the best applicable practices of CBA to the different regions of the country. In Bangladesh, a large number of CBA programmes, projects and research are being implementing and some of which get enough credentials to implement other parts of the country. However, lack of operational coverage of the implementing agencies, CBA projects cannot be replicated in other regions. The conference will provide the opportunity for different organizations to exchange best practices. Recognizing this growing interests and potentiality of CBA, Action Research for Community Adaptation in Bangladesh (ARCAB) is going to organize 1st national CBA conference in Bangladesh.
National CBA Conference Climate Change will be an annual event on Community Based Adaptation in Bangladesh. The conference is the national part of the international CBA conference. The goal of the national CBA conference is to share the latest developments in adaptation planning and practices, priority sectors and measures at different levels, and dissemination of knowledge among stakeholders and communities.
