Course Outcomes

Participants left inspired to return to their communities with new skills and visions.  Some of their plans included:

Cambodia

  • ? Short intro EDE course, need to contextualize locally

South Africa

  • ? Support an EDE in South Africa for community leaders in townships incidental communities
  • ?

Nepal

  • ? Interested in EDE and want to share learning with youth, children, parents, schools & community leaders
  • ? Interested in establishing Eco-learning centre as a model

Karen

  • ? Interested in EDE course – deepening transformation, deep ecology, working with feelings, mindfulness
  • ? Interested to share with Karen community, Karen village as eco-village

India

  • ? 10-day EDE training, short EDE introduction
  • ? Translate EDE curriculum
  • ? Share aspects of Eco-village in local villages

Indonesia

  • ? Short introduction workshop to core group (engaged spirituality group)
  • ? Share EDE experience in schools and village, need support on ecological aspect

Bangladesh

  • ? Sharing EDE with 16 organizations under Australian Baptist Mission
  • ? Share with staff in more detail (5-day EDE introduction with staff and other organizations)
  • ? Discuss contextualization with colleagues in partner organizations
