Training Of Trainers
Like stepping into a new paradigm the participants were no longer learners and facilitators; now the participants began a process of learning the facilitation of knowledge, sharing what the facilitators had had so eloquently demonstrated to them over the last 5 weeks. Some felt it a bit daunting to begin with, but as the participants moved from 5 minutes in dyadic sessions, to 15 minutes in a small, roundtable sessions, to 1 hour with the whole group, confidence grew. In addition the facilitators fed in information that gave training tips and tools, increased critical thinking, helped participants cultivate attitudes for participatory learning and clarified relevant concepts related to participatory learning.
Balancing all this mind exercise, Om brought in mindful dancing and with Jane, Deep Ecology work, the latter from a facilitator?s perspective as new thread in the TOT.
The practice facilitation sessions, deep ecology experiences and other inner work process created a moving series of sessions, culminating in a deep feeling of connection to the pain of the Planet, and helping to prepare the participants for the challenges to come as they headed back into the World, part of the new generation of Change Makers.
